CAMP RUTLEDGE COTTAGE
In the early 1940's there
was a boys camp here on Orr's Island and Camp Rutledge was one
of the camps the boys came to stay in. This one bedroom bungalow
is a great part of Orr's Islands history. Camp Rutledge is
one large room with an enclosed bathroom. A great little deck
overlooks the Sound with beautiful sunsets. The cottage also has
a full dock and waterfront access with a mooring available. In
the kitchen area there is a stove and refrigerator a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, TV
VCR, DVD, radio, electric heat if needed, good drinking water, a
propane grill, and lawn furniture, a queen size bed and a 3/4
bath. PETS OK. Accommodates: 2

THE CARY CABIN
This
log house over-looks Casco Bay and the sunsets are so
spectacular, sitting on the front porch is itself worth
the trip. The house is built on what used to be a boy's
camp and the recreation hall is now the Bailey-Orr's
Island Yacht Club. The bay is filled with pleasure boats
and the local lobsterman are out early in the morning,
hauling traps.
If you like lobsters, you can drive or walk across the
Cribstone Bridge and enjoy seafood dinners at Cook's
Lobster Pound-a popular spot in the summer. If the quiet
and seclusion start to get to you, the house is only a
60-minute ride from Portland. The Old Seaport in
Portland is a great place to shop, dine, and see movies.
Portland offers a fun night life, concerts, and museums.
Or if you want to go further downeast Boothbay Harbor is
50 minutes down Route 1. There are lots of antique
shops and eateries along the way.
Closer to the house is Brunswick, home to Bowdoin
College and a summer music program. There is a farmer's
market that gathers twice a week on the town common and
there is also good dining, bakeries, and cafes. The
house hosts 3 bedrooms, 1 queen, 2 full, or 1 day bed.
There are two bathrooms 1 full, 1 with a tub only.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washer/dryer, TV,
DVD, radio, no phone, heat, woodstove please bring your
own wood, drinkable well water but the owner says it has
a funny taste you may want to bring bottled, propane grill, and lawn furniture.

On a quiet dead end road this contemporary style
house has exquisite sunset views and views of Harpswell Sound.
There is a large deck with water/sunset views. The house is large
and very open with lots of windows to view the scenery. There is a
master bedroom suite on the first floor with a full size bed and a
3/4 bath. On the second level there is a bedroom with 2 twins and
another bedroom suite with a full bath and a full size bed. The
kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, and
the dining room and family room are combined with a fireplace in
